"Feed and Food for Global Health - Nutrizione e cibo per un concetto globale di salute"
The research focuses on the study of the gut microbiota using an experimental system capable of mimicking the human gastrointestinal tract (SHIME), in order to investigate the mechanisms underlying the processes leading to chronic non-communicable diseases such as metabolic and neurological ones, in a cohort of patients with Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD). A collaboration with DISAFA, the DSV and Noberasco S.p.A. is planned as part of the project.
